About Scripts Lucy Hackney

Lucy has thirty years experience working in Broadcast Drama.

She began by producing Radio Drama; a form she still loves as the interest in podcasts and other audio flourishes.

Moving into Television as an Editor and Series Editor she worked on several Series including in the demanding and popular Cops and Docs genres.

Developing original Drama came next and this brought her into Comedy and Kids Drama where she went on to become a Development Executive.

She remains involved with Drama, Comedy and Kids to this day keeping an eye on newcomers and staying in contact with Producers and Commissioners.

In recent years she's started coaching new and developing writers of all levels of experience. It's an intensely rewarding role and writers who work with Lucy always come away with more focus and knowledge of who they are as creatives.
